Witchwood Cavern is a location in Fable, Fable: The Lost Chapters and Fable Anniversary. It is concealed behind a Demon Door in Witchwood Stones.
Overview[]
The location plays a role in the Gold Quest Find the Archaeologist, for the latter can be found inside.
Opening[]
To enter the cavern, the Hero must spell out the Door's name (H I T S) by striking the ancient stones further along down the road. A Villager just outside the Temple of Avo will disclose the name to the Hero if given a Ruby (or attacked, but not slain).
Rewards[]
Other than the Archaeologist, the Cavern contains a Chest (Chainmail Leggings), a Silver Key Chest (Health Augmentation), some bookshelves, barrels and a makeshift bed, in which you can sleep.
Trivia[]
- If you spell 'S H I T', two Balverines will appear and attack you.
- The Door will open if you spell its name, regardless of whether you speak to the Villager.
- The Cavern also features in the Silver Quest The Ransom Victim, where Bandits have kidnapped the Knothole Glade Chief's younger son. The boy is taken to the Cavern and ransomed.
- The assets for the cave are referred to as "Waterfall Cave" in the game files.
