The Headbanger is a unique lute weapon in Fable Anniversary. It is included in the Launch Day Weapons & Outfits Pack DLC. Once downloaded, it must be purchased at the Heroes' Guild shop.
Description[]
There used to be a lute player wandering through Greatwood, until a Bandit took offence to his sounds. After stealing his lute and then beating him round the head with it, he sold his lute for 5 gold coins at the nearest Blacksmith's shop.
Trivia[]
- The Headbanger appears to be a resoration of "The Lute" weapon that was cut from the original Fable.
- Despite never being seen, there is a Lute that can be heard playing when paying the Bard to sing a song.
- If you read one of the gravestones near the Demon Door in Necropolis in the Northern Wastes, it will say "Jeff The Brute, Killed by a Lute"
- Evidence for Fable: The Lost Chapters implies that "The Lute" was actually meant to be a weapon known as "The Singing Sword" at one point in development.
