Thag is the leader of the Bandits in Bower Lake. He is the earliest boss in the game, as you must kill him before getting to Bowerstone Market. He is exceedingly easy to kill, and after killing him, you get his head as a trophy. It is revealed though a book left in his cabin that he may have been capturing slaves for Lucien to work on the spire.

During the "A Perfect World" mission, Rose mentions the hero's parents going to Bowerstone Market overnight. She makes a comment about a new bandit called Thag who attacks farmers and traders, and that Thag had better watch out or her dad will "Give him a good thrashing". It may be possible that Rose's and the hero's parents were captured or murdered by Thag.

Nothing else is mentioned about Thag's backstory nor any facts.

You can buy Thag's Cabin after killing him, but it will be under constant siege by the bandits until you return from the Spire.
