Where the hell is GAME??? Where did you get the information about the absolver? Do you mean its a pre-order from gamestop? Please finish the article...
The article's as finished as I can think to make it. GAME is a UK video game store http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/RolePlaying/~r343394/Fable-III-with-Preorder-Bonus-Content/?recommended=SEARCH

Why does gamestop have to create something different than this? All we can get is the crappy reaver sword (My heroes are always completely good so its kinda redundant) but the customizable tattoo looks cool. Aleksandr the Great 22:26, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

- She probably went and had a balance of peace and fighting. Seems normal, she disliked being full monk, and full fighter. Oh yes, this makes my 100th edit. Joshschi887766 07:04, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
book?[]
The page said something about a book that includes a special weapon, is that true? Woohooyeee 14:57, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Yep. Fable: The Balverine Order it is called. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 16:08, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

Reaver's Sword?[]
Should we change the page to have the name of Reaver's sword since its been revealed? Alpha Lycos 11:08, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's probably a good idea. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 13:08, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
Variety[]
Does anyone know if we'll get more weapons besides the sword and the rifle?Because i really don't like rifles. Also, that question made me wonder if a sword would stay a sword or morph into a different weapon altogether, though i don't see what action could influence that. 99.196.128.59 04:04, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
We had an a lot better variety in Fable II other than a sword and rifle. For example, there was katanas, longswords, hammers, axes, etc., and there were crossbows, pistols, rifles, blunderbusses, etc., however Fable III may include more weapons than what we had in Fable II, but there still was quite the variety in Fable II. And the weapons don't morph into other weapons (Even though that would be SUPER cool), but they do change how they look. For more info I suggest you look here. But I do hope they have a larger variety of weapons in Fable III, and I hope they bring armor back. 'DefenestrationWanna Chat? 04:51, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
@A Wiki Contibutor
I doubt the morphing system is that extensive so that it would change into a completeley different type of weapon. Also, I think all the weapon types from fable 2 will return and maybe a possibilty of new ones (I think I read a Game Informer article say something about using scythes to slay hobbes). And on a completely unnrelated note..... when are you going to accept my friend request on xbox live? Im willing to pay 15 buck worth of microsoft points (im buying a redeemable code from gamestop) for the channeler/tatto and the absolver/tattoo.
@Defenestration
I believe armor will be returning in fable 3 but probably wont affect damage. There have been images of plate armor and Logan's outfit (which you can aquire later in the game) could be considered armor I guess. Aleksandr the Great 05:09, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
Man, I have to pre-order Fable III soon. I really wan't The Inquisitor, it looks AWESOME! :) 'DefenestrationWanna Chat? 05:16, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
Probably not going to be any crossbows anymore, considering that albion is now i the industrial age and crossbows wouldn't really be used for fighting. As for the armor, I saw a few screenshots on gamespot that depicted the Hero wearing armor, but I'm not sure as to whether this armor is already present in the game, or if it's some sort of special offer or DLC. 75.104.96.55 14:11, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
When they say "Not all legendary weapons will appear"...[]
...Do you think the weapons that will not appear will be the Pre-Order weapons (given, unless you have bought more codes, you should only be getting one out of four or five), that they will just randomly select legendary weapons in-game not to appear (similar to Diablo's Quest System), or that the weapons you can't get are those that you receive in quests that are mutually exclusive (E.G. you can do Quest A and get Item A or do Quest B and get Item B, but you can't do both Quest A and Quest B)? Basically, I'm relatively fine if it's the first or the last, but if it's the middle I'll be quite miffed (I despise it when games arbitrarily lock content to increase "replayability").
Mind you, I still think it's utter bollocks that they try and make you subscribe to Xbox Live just to get all the achievements. I may be a completionist, but I will not be suckered into paying money for something that should be free just so I can get some meaningless accolades; mind you, if they were to package these weapons with some DLC, then I would be alright with that. Seriously, I hope future DLC will let you get all the weapons, as those empty weapon shelves will haunt me... --Haegemonia(talk) 22:03, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm afraid it's the middle one. The 50 weapons do not include the pre-order ones, and there will be less than 50 of the others that can be found in the world/from quests etc. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 22:13, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Out of curiosity, how do you know it is the middle one? Did they officially announce it or something? I apologize if I seem obtuse, I would just like to know one way or the other. --Haegemonia(talk) 22:27, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, been looking around, still have not found any confirmation or dismissal of your statement... If you could provide a source, I would be extremely appreciative. --Haegemonia(talk) 00:36, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, missed your question the first time. It's somewhere in this thread at Lionhead Forums (couldn't find the exact post). Look for posts by Gothnak. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 16:36, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, I see... Well, thank you for this information; by the way this fellow Gothnak described things, it won't be as bad as I had feared...--Haegemonia(talk) 17:53, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Fun little tidbit for you. The weapons available to your game are chosen randomly from the 50 legendary weapons. If you have two controllers and a spare account(xbox live not needed) you can get all 50 from that but starting many many saves and putting all them into one account. I know this cause I've had so many different weapons appear at places they were different last time. I'll be testing this out over the next few days to make sure its fully working though. Alpha Lycos 09:13, October 30, 2010 (UTC)
Not legendary[]
One little tidbit I found out is that the DLC weapons and the Pre-order bonus weapons aren't classed in the 50 legendary weapons needed for the achievement. So only ones already in the games count. I found this because I stole some from a shop and the achievement progress counted the amount I had minus the DLC and pre-order weapons. Alpha Lycos 09:10, October 30, 2010 (UTC)
Weapons[]
I moved Briar's Blaster from rifles to pistols since only Briar's Blaster I can find anywhere is a pistol Zkooma 07:20, November 5, 2010 (UTC)
Total[]
So there are 50 weapons in the entire game and only 26 per person. The Hero Weapons, Scimitar of Baron Slaying +3, Pre-order, and other code weapons don't count. But what about the weapons you can buy from the shops, or the Gnomewrecker? Do they count towards the 26 weapons? If they count that leaves about 13 unique weapons per file that others might not have. And if that is the case, it should be stated that there are 13 weapons per file and 24 needed to get the achievement.WolfMaster 22:13, November 11, 2010 (UTC)
Shop weapons do count as they are legendary weapons. Gnomewrecker counts as does any other random weapon found in game that isn't DLC related. I've gathered 40 of them and just need 10 more to get the achievement but my file only had 25 including all random found ones. The rest I did a cheap way and used couch co-op to get them. Alpha Lycos 09:21, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
Legendary Morphs[]
I think that all the legendary weapons should have their handles and blades/heads/barrels listed as Hero Weapon morphs that look exactly like them. I have an incomplete of these morphs: Mr. Stabby has Bone handle and blade. The Bonesmasher has Arcane handle and Crystal barrel. Gusket's Musket has Bone handle. Desert Fury has Ornate handle and barrel. Aurora's Shield has Ornate handle and head. Avo's Lamentation has Balverine blade. Defender of the Faith has Arcane Handle and Elegant barrel. Dragonstomper 48. has Elegant handle and Clockwork barrel, along with a Flaming aura after you unlock the Dragon's Breath bonus. Facemelter has Bone handle and barrel. Faerie Hammer of the Moon King has Elegant handle and Crystal head. Holy Vengeance has Bone handle and Elegant barrel. Jack's Hammer has Bone handle and Onyx head. Lunarium Pounder has Arcane handle and Crystal head. Mallett's Mallet has Elegant handle and Clockwork head. The Merchant's Bodyguard has Arcane handle and Elegant blade. Mirian's Mutilator has Arcane handle and Bone barrel. Ol' Malice has Elegant handle and Onyx barrel. Reaver Industries Peforator has Ornate handle and Clockwork barrel. Slimquick has Arcane handle and Organic blade. The Splade has Bone handle and Ornate blade. Swift Irregular has Ornate handle and Balverine barrel. Thunderblade has Ornate handle and blade. Trollblight has Elegant handle and Onyx head. Scythe's Warhammer has Bone handle and Angelic head. If anyone would like to contribute I have a link with what the morphs look like. The pictures can be found here. WolfMaster 00:50, November 21, 2010 (UTC)
Does anyone else think that Lionhead should Return to the Fable I/II Weapon System for Fable 4? Because I seriously Disliked the Fable III "Morph" System. If it did return, they should only do it for the Hero Weapons, since all the weapons used the same pieces over and over again. At least add the classes for "Un-Legendary" weapons, like: Rusty, Iron, Steel, Master etc. That just made the game feel Realistic. But in Fable 3 when I would see the same hilt on a sword about 20 times or the same Barrel on a Pistol loads, it just gave the feel that Lionhead hadn't put any effort into it. I mean, you could make some cool looking combo's with the Hero Weapons, but in the end nobody bothers to use them since they have the worst damage in the game. With Fable I and II, it was exiting to see what the different weapons would look like and such, but I didn't get the same feel in Fable III. Sorry for moaning bu just saying my opinion. An Idea I Had for the Pages[]
Basically, I thought that adding in the legendary weapon's hilt, body, and effect made when the weapon has its augments completed. It could help with the weapons that don't have pictures.
Do you guys think that this is a good idea?
EDIT: Beat to it...

Pure Damage Ranking
Based purely on linear pure damage potential, and not factoring in complex augmentations involving Shock/Flame or Shotgun Burst power, etc., the following is a precise, confirmable, and handy list of the most powerful weapons of the game in terms of the isolated criterion of "raw power" - personally, I sold all libertine, nihilistic and amoralist weapons as soon as I received them, simply out of disgust, and had and have to rely on a small number of weapons, pitifully small, in carrying me efficiently as a "moral-altruist" idealist Hero - going against Sentinels Dark Minions, etc. (spawn-families ranking up according to "Hero" rating - have any of you faced : I am maxed out in every category, Stature, Strength, Magical Aura, long, long before Revolution and Aurora - I noticed this more and more, and I hypothesize the hidden "Hero" metric is based mainly on a multidimensional calculus yet basically distilling the afore-mentioned three categories: Gun mastery, Melee mastery and Sorcery mastery) in the latter-stage episodes tragicomically, armed ludicrously against hordes of hellions, solely with the Equaliser or Holy Vengeance or Defender of the Faith because of Lady Luck (i.e. randomization of content), try it for good fun folks! Evilly-inclined throngs lacking Hellenist-Platonic, Stoic-Christian or Kantian transcendental meta-ethical sensibility, I dare you - the all-too-human game is prejudiced in your favor, and your soldering and magus prowess reflecting not your own objective skill, but acquiescence to the inexplicable devaluation of "good-pure" value systems the developers and creators only know why mars the game. Am I being neurotic, scrupulous, etc.? Not really. Evil accepted casually, glibly, mindlessly is always the fist stage of the bifurcation and obscuration of Being, our Modernity has enthralled the world within silently (refer to Rene Guenon here). Even in a "light" video game, Evil is always the path of softness, weakness and self-reduction in the end. Goodness requires higher-order strength cognizant of transcendental goods only the human moral cognition is capable of comprehending and unfolding.
IN ANY CASE: The following near 20 weapons are the most puissant and fierce in the game if viewed from the vantage-point of unadulterated damage potential:
(Diggression: In the my last playthrough, I momentarily ago in the Masquerade segment, encountered a heretofore unknown elite corps of Blaverine - I am sure you fellows know their name - eclipsing even White Balverines and Blooded Balverines in strength, and all of them so nicely furiously appearing out of nowhere on top of me as I desperately struggled with even an adequate supply of "tonics" as Page literally shot perhaps two bullets the entire battle-sequence in toto - and my only meta-ethically valid option for ranged, was Defender of the Faith, resorting eventually to my very own personal Hero Rifle - all other options nullified owing to indecent nature - and Hero Hammer - I have the Free Weapon Content; the Bludgeon and Gusket's Musket are unqualifiedly subhuman, vile pieces of degenerative animality - do I overthink things and take a "game" too seriously or has the Nihilism of the Kali-Yuga perverted our very lenses of perception?. I add this diggressive "meditation" for a few reasons but also because I honestly want to know what this sub-species or sub-type of Balverine is I never encountered, and whose ferocity is imposing. White/Silver-B.'s and Blooded-Fire B.'s are easy work compared to this thing, yikes.
Pardon the mental wandering; continuing to the empirical facts of notability:
1. Jack's Hammer - 163
2. Scythe's Hammer; The Tenderiser - 150
3. The Sandgoose - 149
4. Skorm's Justice - 136
5. Dirty Harriet - 135
6. Chickenbane - 134
7. The Swinging Sword/Tannar's Glory - 133
8. Hammer of Wilmageddon/The Champion - 132
9. The Absolver/Mallet's Mallet - 131
10. Simmons's Shotgun - 130
11. Dragonstomper .48 - 129
12. The Black Dragon - 122
13. Gnomewrecker - 117
14. Swift Irregular/Bloodcraver - 114
15. Shardborne - 109
16. Beadles Cutlass/The Channeler/The Inquisitor/Souldrinker - 104
17. Mr. Stabby - 103
18. Casanova - 100
Below 100 we shall not ;enumerate here...
AND YES, I did take Caffeine (Jet-Alert specifically) in accomplishing my small accomplishment of figuring out the objective, measurable hardest-hitters, but no illegal drugs. I am very literary and idioysncratic in my communication, apologies.
Honestly, reviewing things, I realize I just have had bad luck in acquiring "moral-pure"-alignment weaponry and can only keep trying, I suppose. The best I have obtained thus far is Scythe's War-hammer and the Equalis/zer - I REALLY need ranged weaponry, I am tempted to even socialie on multiplayer (tempted only). Several hard-hitters are decidedly of "moral-good-pure" tendency, more than I realized... Just bad luck... I haven't had a darn Simmon's Shotgun or Swift Irregular show up in 5 multi-hour playthroughs! Always the Defender of Faith, and if lucky (ha), perhaps the Equalizer... Scythe's Warhammer is actually the second in rank in the game as unleasher of pure, utter damage and punishment, so I guess I should be grateful...
Without needing to state, the weapon damage output AS A WHOLE is not only based on raw damage - surprisingly, I learned how to turn the sickeningly immoral Ice Maiden into a good Heavy Pistol, and the Facemelter rifle, whilst in its last augment "evil" and thus avoided, the humble Facemelter with both the raw dmg. upgrade and the +FLAME enhancement does a surprising amount of punishment, and so on with other weapons... Truthfully, the fact the devs. and makers determined orgiastic particpation as determinant and the "fan-base" gleefully assenting, is a damning judgment in itself - moralism is bourgeois conformist cowardice, morality of objective grade on the other hand is what differentiates us from bestiality and apedom - it is not mere "bourgeois" reactionary reflex to be sickened by this aspect of the game, a game, I know, not entirely self-serious...still...
I just spent two hours calculating these numbers (I gave up trying to figure out the list according to more multifactorial, "esoteric" multipliers of damage output e.g. such as the +FLAME augment to the Facemelter etc. - any daredevils among you?)...so...I hope the more sapient players make use of this enumeration in a non-dualist, non-linear manner, although of course, using the list provided, one is safe in gauging the quality of one's plunder in a playthrough very roughly (i.e., any playthrough lacking some number of the above is a pity). The woefully small, morally-idealist Galahadic personality of which I incarnate, existing among this micro sub-culture, we exist embattled, positioned uncomfortably; but there is the challenge in using an "evil" weapon strictly in a moral, pure manner, whilst benefiting from whatever advantages the malefic tool offers without imbalancing the "karma" of the moral-idealist aspirant - I can upgrade the Shardborne ONLY partially according to the criteria self-legislated from the Noumenal "Lex Primordialis" resident in our moral cognition (the human nexus to the Unicity of the Cosmos the vulagate sytle "God"); but even the partial raw damage boost is noticeable; avoiding the impure, corrupt path in soldiership and relevant augmentation may exist as a challenge not insalubrious to those not dispositioned to accept the bias in favor of "Evil-Impure" curiously existent in the game.
(Unrelated intellection: I have seen images online of supposedly Purist-Angelic alignment displaying wings angelically, weapon "morphs" of this variety. If only I knew how to take a picture of my "Hero" - angelomorphosis is complete. Supra-human meta-genesis from above; I am LITERALLY nothing but a member fo the Heavenly Host, apparently. Numinous, every town I enter, gifts from villagers almost make the game unplayable. The Wiki describes "WHITE" skin. White skin is only the first stage. The later stages involve dermic hue becoming translucent. Crystalline, with a hint of gentle bluishness. My wings outstretch the Television screen, although I never amassed a numerically imposing number of "fans". I continually give off radiant "sparkles" sometimes obscuring my vision in battle. I have a jewel-like or emerlad-like formation on my forehead (pineal gland signification?), no tattooes. I recently, for the first time, attempted Traitor's Keep - and Commander Milton's mimesis of who I was, as inversive grotesquerie, had to be seen to be believed - Milton looked like no "demonic" character on this Wiki, but infinitely more satanic and realistic. Blackness oozed like a cloud from his entire body, a la the upgraded Legendary Weapons - the Lunarium Pounder comes to mind - and since the game A.I. probably records my particular combative style, no other fight was as interesting, engaging and challenging in a good way. I have seen no image remotely resembling the transformation my character has undergone.)
ADDENDUM: Basing myself on the TOP FIVE weapons available in sword, hammer, pistol and rifle categories, "GOOD", or, as Nietzsche styled so in keeping with the times, those of the "moraline" persuasion, "good-pure-moral" players have at their disposal the war-chest I have analyzed below - the good player is severely handicapped, one sees - ideological considerations, base and partisan, I now realize, simply distorted the developers and makers of the product. "Alignment" purists or altruists, whatever verbalization is desired, are SEVERELY CONSTRICTED in their options in Fable 3, especially in terms of ranged weaponry. Developer ideological bias of "progressive modernist" description in its more squalid form "over-determined" the matter. HOWEVER BE IT, below is a numeric outline of the most powerful weapons existent, FULLY AUGMENTED (without augmentations, good players would not even have any options, practically), for those treading the "good" "'alignment'" -
Scythe's Warhammer: 150
Dirty Harriet: 135
Chickenbane: 134
Tannar's Glory: 133
The Champion: 132
Hammer of Wilmageddon: 132
Mallett's Mallet: 131
The Absolver: 131
Simmons's Shotgun: 130
The Black Dragon: 122
Swift Irregular: 114
The Channeler: 104
Beadle's Cutlass: 104
The Casanova: 100
Since I based the above on the TOP FIVE RAW DAMAGE DEALERS IN EACH CATEGORY, one can see how markedly unfavorably positioned those of the "good-alignment" really are, indeed - pathetically so, in all honesty. We have next to nothing in terms of ranged weaponry and our only real hard-hitter is Scythe's Warhammer. The Shrieking Pilgrim and other "rare" "elite" weapons, one can see, do not even make it on the list, because, to make it more "realistic", I based the ranking on the top five potentialities of each distinct category. Going against several Sentinels and Dark Minion vastitudes, etc., in, say, The Veiled Path sub-region of Shifting Sands, a zone once traversed, teeming afterward with foes, and strictly equipped with "good-alignment" purist weaponry, is just frolicking fun times, oh yeah - all the more fun if one is of higher-grade "Hero Level", as enemy spawn-families, in numbers and quality, I have observed and confirmed, are directly derivative of Hero Level. Concluding and in summation: I use here now, against those within the defunct Lionhead Studios or Microsoft, the ideological scramblers, who let what might have been a greater game than the great game it is despite the influence of the scramblers, become a lesser one, a "VULGAR EVIL EXPRESSION", giving to my personage and personality, +1 trillion chivalric prowess damage against heresiological vehicles and vectors of trendy progressive modernistic nihilistic philosophy.
