Minecraft[]

I'm unfamiliar with Minecraft (I'm assuming it's a Minecraft reference), so I'll let someone else take care of the Trivia on this one. Is there any significance to the name Dave? Also, that is supposed to be Jack's mask right? -- TheIndifferentist (Talk) 22:08, February 6, 2014 (UTC)

I'm an avid fan of Minecraft and have been for a few years now but I don't understand the reference they are trying to make with this DLC. The name of the character you control is called Steve. The only relation between the name and Minecraft are a series of videos on Youtube featuring what appears to be a zombie called Dave. Could Dave possibly be a reference to a memeber of staff at Lionhead that enjoys Minecraft? -- WikiaWizard (talk) 22:51, February 6, 2014 (UTC)
If you're right and "Dave" is a Lionhead inside joke, we'll likely never know. You do agree that it's supposed to look like JoB, though, right? -- TheIndifferentist (Talk) 22:59, February 6, 2014 (UTC)
A funny side note is that when this DLC was originally posted on the Lionhead forum, the name of the picture was, Steve's Hat.-Garry Damrau(talk) 23:03, February 6, 2014 (UTC) P.S. I'll see if my buddies at Lionhead can tell me who Dave (Steve) is.-Garry Damrau(talk) 08:37, February 9, 2014 (UTC)
Good Luck. DrogoBoffin (talk) 12:09, February 9, 2014 (UTC)
It turns out that it is not an inside joke. I believe that it is simply a reference to Minecraft by the fact that it has a pixelated face on a box (reference to the box head of Steve and voxel box nature of the game) and has this description (taken direct from the forums) - "Search for Albion's most precious of ores and metals while wearing this crate on your head. Not only will it protect your noggin', but it also perfectly simulates being in a dark cave with no torches."
I think that the reason that the name "Dave" was chosen is simply due to the fact that it is a simple one syllable name similar to "Steve".
I do agree that it has a great resemblance to JoB mask and I have asked that to see if it is generally an agreed and accepted fact. -- WikiaWizard (talk) 20:01, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

PC Version[]

Does anyone know if this appears in the PC version? it's just that I've noticed it isn't in either of the DLC packs on steam 89.240.250.2 21:29, March 7, 2017 (UTC)

Hmm, I don't know. I have heard that it's available somehow, so I would suggest you go to the shop in Oakvale and check. Please let me know if you find it there! (And also whether you have downloaded either of the DLCs; it's possible that it's just in the base game.) --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 10:34, March 9, 2017 (UTC)
I can confirm, albeit 4 years later, that it comes with the Anniversary base game on PC, no DLC needed. It can be bought in the Oakvale shop. Mrqsandas (talk) 05:02, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
