Statue Master is the name of an unlisted side quest in Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters, along with the remastered Fable: Anniversary. In the quest, you find a suspicious looking Statue which is located in Lookout Point and is rotating based on the time of day. By clicking on the statue at certain times of the day, depending on where the statue is pointing at, you can find certain items that aren't usually accessible to you.
Rewards[]
When it is the middle of the day, just before noon, the statue will be pointing at Greatwood. Click on the statue and then enter Greatwood Entrance and on the path to the left, as you enter the map, you will find a chest that is not usually there. This will reward you with a Piercing Augmentation.
When it is in the middle of the night, the statue will be pointing at Bowerstone. Click on the statue and then enter Bowerstone South and go behind the Tavern. There should be a cellar door that is now unlocked. Go inside the Tavern Cellar and you will find a Leather Chest Piece.
Notes[]
- It is possible that you won't even need to interact with the statue to receive any of the rewards. Just go to Bowerstone South or Greatwood Entrance just before midnight or just before noon (respectively) and you should be able to access all of the chests which are mentioned in the Rewards section.
- If you have any of the four mercenaries following you, they will actually comment on the moving statue.
- This quest is always active once you leave the Heroes Guild. Even if you have received all the rewards for the quest, it will still be active.
- When you first enter Bowerstone South, it will reset the time to the middle of day. This will ruin your chance to enter the cellar for that particular day, even if you interacted with the statue.
Trivia[]
- Popular rumours for Fable always suggested that the reward from the Tavern Cellar was the cut weapon The Singing Sword and that places like The Picnic Area or The Guild Woods, would provide you with rewards. None of which are true.
- Cut Content for the original Fable suggests that the statue master quest was meant to play out differently and could have involved the use of augmentations in some way.
