Welcome, valued customer. The name's Grope, and these here ladies belong to me.
— Grope

Mr Grope is a character featured in Fable: The Lost Chapters and Fable Anniversary. He is proprietor of the Darkwood Bordello and can only be encountered there.

Described by Madame Minzche (an ex-lover of Grope's and seemingly the Bordello's general manager) as a cruel, sadistic despot, Grope treats his workers unfairly, taking advantage of them for profit and sexual gratification. He is first encountered in a cut-scene, in which he welcomes the Hero of Oakvale to the Bordello and warns him of Minzche, stressing that she is after the Bordello Deeds. He realises that he might be putting the Hero off and hastily says: "But listen to me prattling on... these are my problems, yes. Go on, go, go, go, go! Enjoy yourself, sir!"

Darkwood Bordello[]

Main article: Darkwood Bordello

Grope is the owner of the Darkwood Bordello before the Hero comes to the secluded, safe area in Darkwood. The Hero is told that he is an unfair master to the women in the Bordello. Grope can be usurped, and the Hero can choose either to turn the Bordello into a refuge for fallen women or take control of the Bordello and leave it open for business.

Trivia[]

  • Grope's name is an obvious double entendre underlining his tendency to misuse his girls.
  • Grope has a weakness for ginger hair, and is ginger himself.
  • If given enough beers by the Hero, Grope will eventually declare him the best customer he has ever had.
  • Both Madame Minzche and the Bordello's working girls refer to him as 'Old Grope'.
  • If the player refuses to have sex with Pretty Polly , she'll coment how funny it is that Grope also didn't like to do so.
