The Crossbow is a rare ranged weapon that can be found in Fable. It is considered mythical among many players, and it is the same generic crossbow that some guards and bandits use. The weapon itself is not very powerful - getting it is an achievement all on its own.
Acquisition[]
Like the Scimitar, this weapon can be found randomly at Twinblade's Camp. Very rarely, a bandit will drop it when he takes a seat on the ground by one of the many campfires. If you are standing by him when that happens, the green "pick up" symbol will appear and you will be able to pick the crossbow up. Alternatively, sleeping in a nearby tent for the shortest possible amount of time may cause the bandit to leave without picking it up.
