This article lists the minor characters and NPC's of Fable Legends whom may have or not plot significance or are relevant to the gameplay. Some of these characters are also featured in the novel Fable: Blood of Heroes.
King Wendleglass I[]
Arthur Brutus Kadwallader Wendleglass I was one of the most important side-characters in Fable Legends.
Self proclaimed king of Brightlodge, Wendleglass was actually born no more than a peasant, but his skilled merchant abilities quickly allowed him to gather great fortune and he soon elevated himself as the most powerful man in Brightlodge, his hometown. As Brightlodge lacked a figure of power to organize the town, Wendleglass took the matter personaly and invested his fortune in developing the region and rebuilding the old ruins of the town, thus creating Wendleglass Hall, thus becoming Mayor. No longer after, he proceeded to declare himself king as no one posed any complain nor was willing to take the responsability in their hands.
As rumours about the return of Heroes started to roam in Albion, Wendleglass took the oportunity and summoned all such people to Brightlodge, creating the Festival of Roses, with the goal of comemorating the begining of a new era of heroes and kings.
However, his plan completely backfired as the Festival was invaded by the Lady of Rosewood and her forest servants, enraged by the king’s audacity of having his men picking all the flowers from the Rosewood forest for the festival.
Before the heroes present in Brightlodge could intervend, the Lady retreat to the Rosewood taking both King Wendleglass I and his son, Wendleglass II, as hostages. Even though the heroes were able to reach them in the midst of Rosewood, king Wendleglass I died because of his wounds.
As his son was declared king, the recently deceased Wendleglass I would not remain silenced for long, as he distrusted his son’s abilities to rule Brightlodge, he returned to the living plan as a ghost.

- After the quest Lost in the Rosewood, the king’s ghost can be found inside of Wendleglass Hall.
- Much of Wendleglass I's life is known thanks to Penelope’s Official History of Brightlodge.
Fable Blood of Heroes:[]
- In the novel Fable: Blood of Heroes, set right after the events of A Tale of Roses, the kings ghost is still dwelling around in Brightlodge, criticising and lamenting the chaos that his city has became after his death, much for his son's displease.
King Wendleglass II[]
Arthur Brutus Cadwallader Wendleglass II, son of king Arthur Brutus Cadwallader Wendleglass I, was a minor character in Fable Legends.
With a completely oposit personality than his father’s, Wendleglass II was a rather shy and introverted man, with little to no interest in governing Brightlodge nor venturing in the open Albion, much to his father’s concearn.
After his father’s death in the Rosewood, the young Wendleglass was proclaimed king, much to his and his father horror.
Fable: Blood of Heroes[]
In the novel Fable Blood of Heroes, set right after the events of A Tale of Roses, the young Wendleglass II is still learning how to operate as king, and he fully relies on the heroes to help protect Brightlodge from the most recent rising threat.
Becket[]
Becket the Seer, was a character in Fable Legends.
Former advisor of King Wendleglass I and later Brightlodge’s most wanted under Wendleglass II’ reign, Becket was an alcoholic man with magical abilities such as precognition powers.
After serving for years, Becket abandoned Brightlodge and its citizens after a ruse with king Wendleglass I, who ignored Becket’s warnings concearning the fate of the city if the king ordered the townspeople to pick flowers from Rosewood for the Festival of Roses.
Running away from certain doom, a commonly drunk Becket was soon captured by outlaws in the Outlands, but instead of trying to run or hide, Becket joined forces with the criminals who apreciated his abilities more than the king.
Becket would eventually be recaptured by the heroes during the quest The Missing Seer and delivered jailed back to Brightlodge to help the heroes against the Lady of Rosewood threat.

- Some of Becket’s abilities are shown during the gameplay, as he is capable of predicting the future, correctly guess the past and even communicate with wisps.
Fable: Blood of Heroes[]
- In the novel Fable Blood of Heroes, set right after the events of A Tale of Roses, Becket has once again escaped from Brightlodge and is found by the heroes and saved from an attack of goodfellows in the Talondell forest. Becket then proceeds to aid the heroes providing them with enigmatic information concearning the fate of Brightlodge and Grayrock.
Penelope[]
Penelope was a character in Fable Legends.
The greatest archeologist to ever exist by the time of Fable Legends, Penelope was sent by King Wendleglass I to investigate the source of misterious Old Kingdom artifacts which started to shown up around in Brightlodge in the events of a Tale of History.
Having found that Demon Doors were being raided by outlaws who had get the ability to turn themselves into balverines, Penelope was aided by the heroes in cleaning the bandit’s presence in the demon doors and then in investigating a misterious temple in the Rosewood.
Much of Brightlodge’s own history was gathered by Penelope who wrote the Historical Notices, a series of notes scatered around Brightlodge, telling the story of relevant landmarks of such city.
Colin[]
Colin was a is a minor character in Fable Legends.
He is the artist who paints the heroes’ portraits for the Gallery of Heroes.
Murgo[]
Murgo was a minor character and merchant in Fable Legends.
He is the merchant and owner of the Murgo’s Chest Bazaar in Brightlodge.

- Murgo is a currently name for plot-relevant merchants in the Fable Series, such as Murgo from Fable and Murgo from Fable II.
Ma Makewell[]
Ma Makewell was a minor character in Fable Legends
She is an alchemist and owner of the Ma Makewell’s Potions potion shop in Brightlodge
Trivia:[]
- Ma Makewell’s design was originally intended to be of an old crone who would help the outlaws in the quest The Missing Seer, but was lately used for the alchemist.
- According to the characters designers, Ma Makewell’s chicken legs were originated after an experiment gone wrong.
Allisdair[]
Alilsdair was is a minor character in Fable Legends.
He is the clothing and armor merchant and owns the Attire by Allisdair shop in Brightlodge.
Fisher Queen[]
The Fisher Queen was a minor character in Fable Legends.
She is the baits and fish merchant and owns the Fisher Queen’s Bait Shop in Brightlodge.
Trivia[]
- In early concepts, the Fisher Queen was intended to be a mermaid, but this was later scrapped and she became just an ordinary woman.
The Blacksmith[]
The Blacksmith was a minor character in Fable Legends.
He was the owner of Brightlodge’s forge and the only blacksmith in the town.
Trivia[]
- Although the Blacksmith’s name isn’t clearly stated in the game, there are many evidences that link his name with the word Daisy.
- In early concepts however, Daisy was supposed to be the name of the Blacksmith’s wife, who was intended not to be human, but some kind of magical creature identified as a “Trip Trap Troll”.
Percy[]
Percy was a minor character in Fable Legends
Percy was a farmer who lived in Troutswallow village, and had made a deal with a puck named Fastbuckle who would make his vegetables magically grow to humongous sizes so he could win the Lovely Vegetable Contest.
Part of the quest A Harvest Tale is set in his farm who was being destroyed after Snapbranch had tainted Fastbuckle’s enchantments.

- Percy's NPC model is chosen randomly at the beggining of A Harvest Tale.
Fastbuckle[]
Fastbuckle was a minor character in Fable Legends.
The only known goodfellow to be friendly to humans, Fastbuckle tried to help the farmer Percy win the Lovely Vegetable Contest of Troutswallow by enhancing his vegetables’ sizes with magic. However, his brother, Snapbranch, corrupted the spell making the vegetables grow way beyond intended and summoning pumpkin spirits who turned the villagers into chickens.
During the quests of a Tale of Mischief, Fastbuckle helped the heroes defeat and ultimately capture his brother Snapbranch who had gone on a mischievous rampage on Albion.
Note[]
- Fastbuckle could be found in a gardened area of Brightlodge after the completion of a Tale of Mischief, as his good deeds gained the trust of the heroes and the townsfolk.
Snapbranch[]
Snapbranch was a minor character in Fable Legends.
The most mischievous of any ever-encountered goodfellow, Snapbranch is the brother of Fastbuckle, and is the main antagonist of a Tale of Mischief.
After learning of Fastbuckle’s deal with a farmer who wanted to have his vegetables size enhanced so he could win the Lovely Vegetable Contest of Troutswallow, Snapbranch corrupted the spell cast and made the vegetables grow way beyond intended, destroying the farm and then summoned pumpkin spirits who turned the villagers into chickens.
After the heroes helped Fastbuckle save Troutswallow, an enraged Snapbranch went on a mischief rampage, spreading rumors about his plans of kidnaping maidens and destroying villages, this set a trap, and when the heroes responded, Snapbranch shrunk the whole town and the heroes with his magic, but was eventually defeated again.
At last, Snapbranch was ultimately defeated and trapped inside of a magical egg after he was tricked to take part in a theatre play.
