The Dragonstomper .48 is a pistol owned by Reaver. Reaver reveals to the Hero of Bowerstone that 6 of these pistols were created for "6 lucky people", and that he has killed 4 of them himself. The Dragonstomper is unobtainable by the Hero in Fable II. The pistol as depicted in Fable II is a reskinned Master Clockwork Pistol, due to the speed that Reaver fires it at Spire Guards in the cave near the exit to the Smuggler's Beach.

Fable III

The person with the sixth pistol is The Hero of Brightwall, once obtained in Fable III. It is mentioned on the weapon's description that five have been collected by Reaver, and you possess the sixth.

The Dragonstomper .48 you receive in Fable III looks significantly different than Reaver's gun in Fable II. This could suggest that the other four guns look entirely different and possess different abilities.

It is by far one of the most powerful weapons in the game and as such it is highly sought after both online and offline.

It may be obtained by amassing 5 million or more gold in the personal treasury, climbing to the top and grabbing the key, then draining to treasury to reveal a chest. (You actually have only a 1/3 chance to get it by this method.) It has also been known to be found in the Bowerstone Castle silver key chest.

Trivia

  • Before Reaver was around, a man named Wicker was "The finest shot Albion had ever seen", and wielded the Red Dragon. When Reaver appeared, Wicker challenged him to an honourable duel - Reaver responded by shooting Wicker in the head with the Dragonstomper .48.
  • There is a grave in Bowerstone Cemetery where a presumed former owner of a Dragonstomper .48 is buried. It states: "Here lies Count Zamoyski, lived by a Dragonstomper, died by a Dragonstomper."
  • There is much debate over which pistol is the overall best in the game as many say the Chickenbane is the better due to it having five more damage points than the Dragonstomper when both are fully upgraded. However, the Dragonstomper has the added effect of fire damage which leaves the result as this: Both weapons have close enough attack power (Five point difference.) that they will kill enemies in the same ammount of hits; making the knockback from the Chickenbane, and the Damage over Time from the Dragonstomper negligible.
  • Judging from how the gun depicts Reaver as having the other five Dragonstompers, it is suggested he attained the Red Dragon from Fable II, and the Black Dragon from Fable: The Balvarine Order. How he attained these pistols is unknown.
