Cheet-ur's Crypt is a place on Knothole Island that allows you to resurrect your Dog. This comes at a price, though, as you have to get someone to follow you and then sacrifice them to Cheet-ur who, apparently, liked dogs more than humans.

This is only available with Knothole Island Premium DLC.

How to Operate[]

In the small cemetery on the docks end of the village near The Chieftain's office is a mausoleum with a dog statue on top. In order to get your dog back you have to have a villager follow you to the mausoleum. Once you arrive at the door with villager in tow the door will open and the villager will eventually wander in. The villagers tend to circle around the door a few times before actually going in the tomb. By walking closer to them (and the crypt) while they are passing the door, you may be able to get them to go in more quickly. Once they're inside you can activate a nearby lever which seems to electrocute the villager. When the door opens again your faithful canine companion will be sitting inside and when you approach you will see a reunion scene similar to the one in Oakfield earlier in the game. From then on it's as if your pal never died.

Trivia[]

  • Using the crypt does not affect your morality or purity.
  • Children cannot be sacrificed. They'll follow the player to the tomb, but once they are near it the Follow icon will disappear, and the doors of the crypt do not open.
  • The name "Cheet-Ur" is clearly a way of calling the player a cheater for resurrecting his/her dog.
  • This is very useful as in the end of the game you can choose the money or to save all the other people who died and then resurrect your dog so that way you have money/fame and your best friend.
