Charlton Edwards is a British, Game Designer and Writer, that started his role in the Video Game Industry at Lionhead Studios as an Additional Tester for the first Black & White game. He is mostly known as his role as one of the Lead Quality Assurance Testers for the original Fable and then later a Level Designer for Fable II and Fable III. He is also credited with a "Special Thanks" for Fable Anniversary and was a part of the Creative Day 2012 Team.

Personality[]

Although he is the person responsible for a lot of the screenshots and video footage that was released during the original Fable's development, Charlton himself has only ever appeared publicly in the Developer Diaries for Fable 2. In these Developer Diaries for the game, Charlton comes across as kind of reserved and awkward when being interviewed. This is mostly noticable as he usually talks with a very quiet voice. However, despite this, he will sometimes try to crack a few jokes and laugh during these same interviews.

Lionhead Studios[]

Charlton Edwards started his role in the Video Game Industry as an Additional Tester for Lionhead Studios as early as 2001. He is credited as an Additional Tester for many games during this time, such as Emperor: Battle For Dune, Black & White and Black & White 2. In 2004, Charlton would become promoted to Assistant Lead Tester for the original Fable. Later, he would become a Beta Tester for Rag Doll Kung Fu and then a Lead Gameplay Tester for The Movies in 2005. His last role as a Tester for Lionhead Studios, was Lead Quality Assurance Tester for Fable: The Lost Chapters.

During the production of Fable II, Charlton would become promoted to a Level Designer. He would continue to be a Level Designer for Fable III.

PixelCount Studios[]

After Lionhead Studios shut down in 2016, Charlton (along with another ex-Lionhhead developer) founded the company PixelCount Studios in late 2016. They are both currently creating a Fable-inspired indie game for PC, known as Kynseed.
