Bounty Hunt is a quest in Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters.

Description[]

Bandits have kidnapped Bowerstone townsfolk. Track down the gang and free the hostages.

Boasts Available[]

  • No Protection
  • Without a Scratch
  • Perform Quickly/Timed Quest (4 minutes and 59 seconds)
  • Behead Leader

Walkthrough[]

Enter Greatwood Entrance through Lookout Point. Some people from Bowerstone have been kidnapped by bandits and you'll have to find their captors and kill them. As you follow them, some bandit leaders will try to slow you down, but they shouldn't be much of a problem. At Fisher's Creek, a little under a dozen bandits will attack you on the dock and it is recommended to use a high-power spell such as Divine Fury, Infernal Wrath or even just Enflame to blast them all since fighting them with a sword can be health-expensive. Force Push is not a good alternative because it will knock over the hostages you are trying to save.

The last hostage is in Greatwood Lake, being held at the broken-down bridge where the silver key is located. Attacking the bandit holding the hostage with a sword or close-range spells will not work because he will simply kill her and you will fail the quest. Lightning, or a powerful bow/crossbow, are the best options because they will lure the bandit away from his captive and will in the process make him easier to kill.

As part of this quest, you'll receive treasure clue #1 for the Hidden Booty Hunt quest.

Trivia[]

  • If you start the quest too fast by using Slow Time in Greatwood Entrance and kill all the enemies, the bandits won't have time to arrive to Fisher Creek and Greatwood Lake. This will softlock the quest as you have to kill them in the same area as the hostages to release them. You will notice when they arrive to their respective locations because they will disappear in the minimap.
  • You can kill the last hostage after completing the quest.
