With the announcement of a 4th game, and me being a casual newcomer, where would you recommend starting? Is Fable best played in chronological order, or are the games welcoming enough that you can just pick a game and jump right in regardless of it's place in the game timeline?
What's on your mind?

Hello everybody, I'm very excited for the new Fable.
How about you?
is it really worthy to generate Gamertag using Online Gamertag generator tools?
I've had a look around, but maybe someone else is more capable than me. While recently replaying Fable II I had this thought of being able to tell the story to my (future) kids, is such a thing written anywhere? Kind of a mix of a transcript of the game's dialogue and description. If it's not out there already, I might make it a project for myself.
Good Morning/Evening everyone.
So, I was wondering where would it be better to post some theories I may have developed about some points in the plot and lore of the franchise. As they are fanon I know they can't be posted in the Canon Wiki server, so I ask you guys, should it be posted here in the Forum or in the Fanon Server or elsewhere?
I just wanted to clear the fact that i tried to write them down the most formal way I could with the most canon references, and I'm somewhat interested in posting them somewhere here in the wiki server so i can have a direct response from you guys as I can see the formal and professional atmosphere here and most because the fandom from Fable is much more inactive in other platforms such as Reddit.
If it turns out to be inconvenint to use the server to post a theory then I apologize and won't do it here.
With Fable now owned by Playground Games, the franchise is not dead yet. That being said, Albion is not a nation where technology stands still. From the Middle Ages, to the Victorian Period, Albion has a tireless history. So, it's likely thay in Fable 4, the technology is circa somewhere in the 20th century, maybe even 21st century?
This would mean that by this point, swords, axes and other melee weapons would be replaced by firearms, assault rifles, pistols, grenades, etc. I'm nervous to admit it, knowing hoew controversiol they are in the modern gaming world, but unless they can do a damn good job in a third person perspective, Fable 4 might have to be a first person shooter. Now of course there's still magic, but Elder Scrolls has mastered the art of first person magic.
Another thing that must be considered, should this be the route taken, is the status of the Royal Family. Every hero of fable has been Royalty, one way or another. But the funny thing about Royalty today, is that most of them are figureheads. There are exceptions of course, but do you think that the Albion should still be a monarchy, or should the Royal Family have abdciated in favor of a Parliment and Prime Minister, like modern day England? If so, how much weight does the story put on you, if you're just a figurehead now? Or perhaps maybe this time you're NOT Royalty?
May I request the help of the Wiki Commmunity I am trying to find the names of the Twenty Books that one needs to donate to Bowerstone South’s School. I hope you do not mind my asking.
Any answers or information would be greatly appreciated.
A true lover of the entire Fable Series and player on both X Box and now Pc.
This List is missing Gile's Farm, which comes available for purchase following the completion of the Blind Date sidequest, in Brightwood, which would make 3 properties available to buy in Brightwood.
All of which preferably with Red runes due to a corrupt morality
Sword, Ornate blade, bone hilt, Green with secondary of red, poison aura
Hammer, Onyx head, Arcane grip, Purple, Shadow Aura
Pistol, Crystal barrel(?), Royal Grip, Red, Blood Aura
Rifle, Scaled Barrel, Auroran Stock, Green with the secondary Purple, Etheral Aura
Anyone have pictures for these Exact combinations or know a way to get them exactly?
I press the down directional button, it pops up, I press A, and... Nothing, just goes back to where I need to accept it. I have cleared my cache, downloaded the update, and installed the game as suggested on the bug page, but it still won't work. Any clues? This is on the Xbox 360.
I'm extremely confused about this we last saw her as a old woman so how is she going now,by the way I am talking about Elizabeth Spade in Fable 2 and 3
Some have already discovered this but I thought I'd put this here; basically the strategy is to use Fairfax Gardens as a selling location (from found/stolen items and bought produce) due to the mark-up and nature of having traveling sellers. Simply, with any discount purchase from other locations (Bowerstone Market and Old Town early on, adding Oakfield etc later) then sell here. Further this with discounts by being friendly with sellers and using sales; there are some early game sales that are fixed events and using the carriages to travel when Oakfield is unlocked will essentially keep the sales going for longer. Investing more will mean a higher sale price so very expensive things like best weapons or gems will sell for the most. There are some hindrances to avoid though, such as the fact that owning a business will cancel-out sales and the sellers in Fairfax Gardens liking you will mean that you sell for less than you would have done, which is something that is hard to avoid if you are playing as a good-natured character. Furthermore it at least used to be possible to 'crash' the economy in Fairfax Gardens; going down to a four star is enough to make this strategy useless. I haven't found this problem recently and it does seem to take quite a lot to crash it; but the other adverse effect is by spending all that money in other towns you increase the economic status relatively easily and therefore downgrade the profit margin but for the most part by doing all the above [being friendly, using sales] you will always be buying below the base price then selling at a mark above the base price.
I have a theory that depending on what ending you as the player choose in Fable 1, it effects who it is that guides you in the second game, as well as who ends up in control of the Spire. The good ending would make your guide Theresa, while the bad ending would make your guide Jack of Blades in disguise as Theresa, and by extension the Hero of Oakvale after he put on the mask.
It is a decent explanation for Theresa's appearance hundreds of years after the first game, her apparently enhanced supernatural powers, and even elements of her outfit's design. It is further supported by the Story about Jack Of Blades confronting an imposter, which canonically took place after the first game and suggests that Jack is not dead.
The only problem with this theory I can find is the motivation, specifically that Jack Of Blades would most likely not be interested in the control of the Spire, other than possibly to prevent his power from being surpassed by someone else.
Are there any things I'm missing that debunks this theory? Let me know, because I'm interested.
of Fable II. At the very least, a remaster, but with 4k quality and retouched quality. Siame treatment with the original Fable.
The terms in this investigation shade similarities towards Temple of Aurora (Note: I haven't played Fable III or the series in general):

Similar =/= Rip-off
So... yeah... I hope you all understand
so my hero has blue or pure white hair. (no textures just a big blob.) and in dungeons a lot of crackling and static. Also if you have a companion (i.e. first hobbe cave, Hammer etc.) large burst of static with slight but varying buzzing noise. they also sound slow and high pitched. and slurred.
Dog randomly turns darkish green... I know cause my dog is normally yellow. but he's dark green. (like an ugly dark green vegatable paste.)
Also in the temple of shadows the banners are blue and the wheel. the rotating part. (the arms I guess.) are blue like a purple almost blue screen of death blue.
Anywhere inside a cave is slow and slurred... even at nighttime or dawn/dusk outside. (such as bowerstone or westcliff.) will show the same sypmtoms...
I have contacted Microsoft about this. (and all they had were excuses.) And since Lionhead Studios is closed down. (and they haven't made a patch since 2009 or so.) I figure it is a bug on the emulation of the Xbox One... But when I told MS that, they just said. "did you restart your console and uninstall and reinstall." bullcrap they normally give.
So I'm hoping somebody found a workaround for it... I played fable 2 and 3 about 1 and 3 years ago respectively. and I never had a bug like this... (I have defintely had game-breaking bugs or freezes or crashes in 2008)
But never something like this.
