Attention: Fable Legends Content This article contains information mainly related to Fable Legends and is considered canon to such game. Due to Fable Legends’ cancelation on 7th March 2016, its canonicity status within the Fable series is uncertain. |
A Tale of History is one of the three main narratives that were released and available for players during the time Fable Legends beta was operational.
With the beta access being terminated on 13th April 2016 after the game's cancelation, the narrative and its quests aren't accessible or playable anymore.
Overview[]
The storyline is composed by two known quests that were already released by the time Fable Legends beta was terminated.
Brightlodge's own archeologist, Penelope, was sent to investigate a group of Demon Doors who were apparently being raided by outlaws, the heroes went to help her and eventually discovered that the bandits have uncovered deep secrets of the ancient Albion, and thus have gained the power to turn into Balverines. The heroes then departed to retrieve an Old-Kingdom artefact which legends said to have the power to control the flow of the time turning day into night, before the newly outlaws-turned balverines could get it to themselves.
Quests[]
The Doors: The Demon Doors[]
- Old Kingdom artefacts have been showing up in Bightlodge’s market. It’s high time the Heroes found out why!
The Moon: The Moon-on-a-Stick[]
- The legendary Moon-on-a-Stick has been found! Nearly. The Heroes must race a band of outlaws to retrieve the Moon for Brightlodge!
Trivia[]
- According to Fable Legends art developers, the Demon Doors featured in the quest were intended to be called Kenneth, Babs, Hattie and Sid.
- The grave where the remains of the first Balverine to ever exist - a man who survived the Balvorn attack and thus was cursed - is located inside of the Demon Door named Babs.
- The Demon Door named Sid is the only known Demon Door who was not made out of stone, being wood of a living tree instead.
- Although not the oldest known Demon Door (a title disputed between the Fairfax Castle and the Lookout Point doors), Sid was created by the lesser-refined yet primitive magic that was used to create demon doors hence why his whole being is that of a "cheap-made" Demon Door.
